Living room furniture
The great protagonist of the classic living room is certainly the sofa, which is characterized by the essentiality of forms and for one timeless style to which they join comfort and feature. Divergent stylistic concepts, united by research into materials, components and accessories to ensure the best possible daily well-being.
Another fundamental element of classic sofas is the upholstery, typical of the classic style, which refers to the ancient values of everyday life, hospitality and attention to detail. Soft armrests and backrest, but above all large sizes, from three to four seats, to make the stay an environment entirely dedicated to comfort.
Other accessories that can not miss in a classic living room are:

Other accessories that can not miss in a classic living room are:
- Extendable solid wood table: to be used when you have guests for dinner or lunch. The lines of the legs should be finely worked, e.g. turned, to give an idea of refinement.
- Sideboard: a large sideboard with a glass splashback highlighting a tea cup or plate service is a must for classic living room furniture.
- Storage wall: finally, a large wall unit to house the television, bookcase and storage elements is a must. Here, too, wood must be chosen as the material and colours in the colour palette seen above.
Furniture for the bedroom
Functional, comfortable and sophisticated classic bedrooms give a touch of class to the most intimate room in the House. Design and practicality combine harmoniously to create furnishings that make bedrooms unique.
Comfort, practicality and aesthetics are the three essential elements when choosing furniture for cosy yet attractive classic bedrooms that pamper their users.
The classic furniture for the sleeping area has the merit of being timeless, of overcoming the fashions of the moment and of remaining, after years, always current. We at Spazio Schiatti are well aware of this and that is why we offer solutions where tradition and beauty come together to create bedrooms with timeless charm.
From beds to wardrobes, from chests of drawers to cupboards, via bedside tables and chests of drawers, we can always organise the space in the bedroom better. Classic solutions that make the rooms usable, favouring rest but also the storage of clothes, linens and everyday objects.

The bathroom in classic style
By choosing the right sanitary ware and the right furniture, it is possible to make a bathroom classic. Floor-standing sanitary ware is preferable to modern wall-hung sanitary ware. The same applies to mixers: we always give a vintage touch by choosing models that give us a retro feel.
The bathroom cabinet should be chosen in wood, resting on the floor, perhaps on machined legs, and with framed doors. Columns can be inserted next to the under-sink unit to increase storage space.

The characteristics of made in Italy furniture
with a classic style
Materials and furniture of the highest quality craftsmanship dominate in a classic-style home. Hues are predominantly neutral and in light pastel colours. Velvets, cottons and canvas are some of the most popular fabrics in the classic style because they are elegant without being too ornate.
Classic interiors are also well balanced: rooms will be centred around a focal point such as a fireplace rather than a large wooden table. Interiors can include traditional architectural elements such as crown mouldings and wood panelling lining the walls in corridors, for example.
Wooden finishes on floors and furniture tend to be darker, while walls are usually painted in neutral tones, but may include subtly patterned wallpaper with traditional designs such as flowers, stripes or damask. All these elements contribute to a truly sophisticated and elegant environment. But let's see them in detail.
Materials
To recreate the typical atmosphere of classic furniture, the use of prestigious materials is essential. Marble is back in vogue, on floors and walls in bathrooms and kitchens, but not only. We find it used more creatively in the living room, in furniture and accessories and it is increasingly chosen for tables.
Also the wood is an indispensable material of the classical style. Herringbone parquet, typical of bygone eras, is very popular and is the main solution for all types of furniture. In fact, it is the premium material par excellence and should be chosen in machined and carved versions. Whether it's cabinets, sideboards, tables or seating, it's important to choose it in fine quality and in the most worked versions.
Colors
In timeless interiors, neutral colours have a strong presence. Beige, grey and white, in particular, give character to a room and are perfect for creating continuity in an open-plan space. Opting for a neutral palette does not necessarily mean that you cannot add personality to a home.
Warm whites, for example, create an inviting space and complement an interior characterised by upholstery and furniture made of natural materials. Cool whites, on the other hand, are great for neutralising spaces flooded with natural light and are well suited to those furnishing in a minimalist style.
However, the timeless interiors are not all painted white. Cool greys add a sense of glamour and warm greys create a more relaxed feel. Then there are navy blues, dark greens and blacks which are often used to complement a neutral palette. If you want to add a touch of colour to your classic-style home, do it through decorative elements such as artwork, throws or cushions.
Fabrics
Pillows, curtains, carpets and any other type of fabric are indispensable elements of today's classic-style decor. The choice falls on precious and heavy fabrics, such as damask and especially velvet. Omnipresent in the trendiest furniture, it creates a chic and elegant atmosphere, as long as you don't overdo it and opt for the light and "neutral" shades we've talked about.
Finally, there is room for tartan, used sparingly, especially if you want to liven things up, while capitonné is very up-to-date for padding.
